Misery loves company
Apparently the saying "Misery Loves Company" is very true - at least in our house this weekend anyway. Kennedy and McGuire have swine flu and Chloe has an ear infection. Everyone is quite miserable!
If you are in question about whether or not to get the H1N1 vaccine for you or your kids when it comes available, I would whole-heartedly tell you DO IT! The kids are absolutely miserable. They will go from being and acting just fine to tears of pain because they ache so badly and their fevers have spiked. McGuire was able to be prescribed medication because of past breathing problems, but the supply is so low that Kennedy was not able to receive a prescription.
The crazy thing about this is that the only public place we have been during the last week is to the park. It's not like we have knowingly been around anyone affected. We have been told Kennedy and McGuire have to be away from the general public for seven days from onset or until they are fever free for 24 hrs - whichever is longer. So don't worry, you will not be getting this from us as we plan to follow the doctor's orders completely!
Zach is doing great and we are praying he does not catch what the others have!

OH boy I am so sorry. We fully plan on getting the vaccine as my nephew was just hospitalized with complications from the swine flu. Kap
So sorry to hear about your kids (and your anniversary trip!) Hope they all feel better soon!
Yikes! I'll pick up the kids on Wednesdays until you're up and running. Good Luck.
Ohhhhh....poor babies. That just makes me want to cry for them (and you!) I'll say a prayer for all of you that no one else gets sick and that all the sick kids start feeling better quickly. Love you guys!
Boo for swine flu and ear infections....no fun. So sorry your kiddos are sick. Hope you all get better soon!
Sorry to hear about this! Glad that was a couple of weeks ago. So far we haven't had this or any sickness for that matter. KNOCK ON WOOD!
