This was the award Kennedy was presented with when she returned to the classroom after McGuire's graduation. She was so thrilled as math is her FAVORITE subject!

Kindergarten Graduation

McGuire graduated from Kindergarten on May 27th.  They had a special program where they sang songs they had learned throughout the year.  They were also presented their diplomas and final report cards of the year.  It was a fun celebration to end a great year!

McGuire's Birthday

This was the first year McGuire had a friend birthday party (they get to have one every other year starting at the age of six).  Since he was going to be gone at our annual Father's and Sons over his birthday we had his party a week before.  The kids played water kickball at the park around the corner from our house.  Each base was a swimming pool they jumped into and then they slid into home base on a slip n' slide.  Afterwards, we turned them loose for a water fight using the water shooter party favors we gave.  It was a lot of fun and something McGuire really enjoyed!

Fun group of kidsMcGuire had a great time celebrating his birthday again a week later when he opened presents from the family and enjoyed a special lunch before heading off for the weekend for a Father Son campout with Rich and friends in our church group.

Things to know about McGuire at age six:

• He LOVES to tease his brother and sisters
• When he is not teasing his siblings, he is the sweetest older brother - especially to Chloe
• He loves playing any sport, especially if it is with the big boys of the neighborhood
• He is a great swimmer
• He is working hard on his reading and math skills
• He loves watching sport games on tv and will give Rich play by play recaps if Rich left the room or missed any part of the game

We love McGuire and love all the joy, energy, and enthusiasm he brings into our home.  We are certainly lucky to be able to be his parents!

Chloe's Birthday

We celebrated Chloe's 2nd birthday on May 15th.  It is hard to believe how quickly the last two years have flown by.  She had a great time waking to balloons scattered all over her room, opening presents, and sharing her cake with friends.

Waking up to a room full of balloons is always a good way to start the day!

She loved all her presents from her grandmas and grandpas and our little family.

She LOVES jewelry! Putting her baby down for a nap in the new crib she received. She is such a little momma!

 The easiest birthday cake ever!

Chloe at 2: 

• Is quite the "girly-girl"  She loves shoes, jewelry, clothes, and having her nails and toes painted
• Loves to tell stories and is very animated when doing so
• Loves to play with her brothers and sister
• Crawls into bed with mom and dad every morning between 5:30 and 6 am
• Calls herself "Toco" (We all call her Coco and this is the closest she can get to saying that name)
• Likes watching movies
• Doesn't like taking naps since that means she will miss out on something
• Her height and weight (as of 8/19) 27 lbs 12 oz and 36 inches tall
