Scary...

Zach picked up a movie case and immediately screamed.  He then looked at me with huge eyes and said, "Whoa, that scared me momma!"  (The movie was Barbie Rapunzel)

Today I said to Kennedy:

"Ken, I think you might have pink eye so you need to be really careful and wash your hands every time you touch your face."

To which she replied, "Let me check!" She ran to the mirror, examined her eye very intently and said, "No mom, my eyes are still green!"

Don't worry - she is on medication for that now and will not be out of the house until it is taken care of!

Sweet Boy

I was rushing around trying to clean up the house this morning as Chloe was taking a cat nap and the boys were playing cars.  I looked over and McGuire had climbed up on the couch and was quietly sitting there.  I asked if he was okay and here is the rest of our conversation:

McG: "Yeah, I'm okay.  Will you read to me?"

Me: "Um, yeah just a minute" (I REALLY wanted to finish getting stuff done since Chloe was asleep)

McG: "Mom, when you read to me will you read me the scriptures?"

How can you turn that down?  I dropped what I was doing and sat down to read.  McGuire would choose the chapter and let me read for a little bit and then take the book and find a new place he wanted me to read.  We jumped all over the place but it was fun.

Turning into a teenager

Kennedy's comment as she was looking out at the rain clouds while we were driving to our ward party:

"If it rains on me I'm going to totally freak out.  I mean TOTALLY FREEEAAAKK OUT, mom!"
